Hommage à Jean Tinguely

Jean Tinguely is considered one of the great pioneering artists of the second half of the twentieth century, thanks to his creation of kinetic works of art. At the heart of his work was a preoccupation with machines. He was fascinated by how machines work, how they move, the noises they make, and their intrinsic poetry. Jean Tinguely would have turned 100 on 22 May 2025. To mark the occasion, artists from around the world are paying tribute to his work with animated GIFs.
